About Me
31-Word Bio (223 characters)
Leading a FinTech banking core team by day, making YouTube videos by night — Rytis is a professional developer with too many side hobbies and a rewritten Danish Tax System somewhere in between.
In My Own Words
Hi, I'm Rytis – a guy in a hat (when the weather allows) from Lithuania.
Professionally, I have been a developer for 15+ years, working mainly in FinTech, but having dealt with apps, embedded devices, web pages, system architecture, team management, and company building. I have experienced everything from small startups to regulated corporations.
Nowadays, my main language of choice is Java, but I have experience in PHP, .NET, C++, and as you can clearly see HTML, CSS, and JS.
For the last couple of years, I've been getting into making YouTube videos, and have started two channels – Main Channel and Coding Channel. I sometimes stream.
It primarily started as a way to document my engineering projects, and after accidentally building a full-fledged studio along the way, it has transformed into its own thing, bringing me down the rabbit hole of camera gear and cinematography.
Video Production
Since then, I've been involved in a couple of local video projects as a Director of Photography, Camera Operator, and Sound Engineer.
If you're looking for an all-round media production – Rytis Media can help!
DIY Stuff
I love designing PCBs in KiCAD, as well as engineering things in FreeCAD. Most of my furniture has been custom designed by me.
Sports
I've recently started indoor bouldering. Unfortunately, the terrain where I live has absolutely no mountains, so I am stuck indoors for the foreseeable future. At least it gets me moving a bit, because I find regular gyms absolutely miserable.
Sometimes I also attend airsoft and LARP events.
And finally – I love squeezing out a couple of hundred of rounds at the range.

• Nowadays, the websites are too bland with all their flat designs. I hope my website is a fresh blast from the past!
• All HTML and CSS code has been written from scratch by me. This has a benefit of having a very clean HTML (check the source) and great Lighthouse scores.
• I absolutely HATE Javascript, so I get help from ChatGPT on that front.
• Some graphics have been generated with the help of Midjourney, but then heavily modified by me.
• Beautiful Ascii text has been generated with the help of Patorjk's Text to ASCII Generator
